Research Support Assistant

REPORTS TO: Research Lead

DEPARTMENT: Senior Director, Research

Position Summary

The Research Support Partner is an entry-level position within the Research team, focused on supporting research initiatives and contributing to the advancement of technology solutions. This role requires a detail-oriented and inquisitive individual with a passion for technology research. The successful candidate will work closely with the Research Lead and collaborate with the research team to conduct investigations, gather data, and contribute to insightful research reports.

Key areas of focus:

Organizational Area

  • Organize and maintain research databases, ensuring accuracy and accessibility of information.
  • Supports the execution of research projects by assisting in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.

General Responsibilities

  • Conduct desk based research to stay current with industry trends and advancements.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure research objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of research reports, summaries, and presentations.
  • Stay informed about technological developments and contribute insights to the research team.
  • Participate in relevant meetings and discussions to share findings and contribute to research strategy.

Experience Preferences

  • Experience in a research or analytics role
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools
  • Demonstrated interest in technology research
  • Familiarity with research methodologies and data analysis tools is a plus.
  • Proficiency with a range of office tools.

Education Preferences

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar in a relevant business or technical field

Work Location: Remote. The majority of GigaOm works on a US timezone, some flexible scheduling to accommodate team collaboration is required.
