Use This Technique on Tough Fall Smallmouth Bass

Using light line and light lures can be your best technique to catch fall smallmouth when things are tough. Fish this time of year will often suspend and get tough to catch in less than ideal situtions, so I downsized to a 3/32 oz hair jig and a 1/8 oz homemade Do-It Molds Diner Shiner Screw Head with a small swimbait to catch these smallmouth. LiveScope also played a big role in targeting these fish offshore that were roaming. These fish, especially on glacial lakes, like to suspend and roam around baitfish. Smaller lures and suspending baits can trigger them to bite when nothing else will!
